Full Day Wilderness Rafting Adventure

Adventure Overview

Full Day Wilderness Adventure

Enjoy a pristine stretch of water with excellent Class II-III rapids, and unbelievable Rocky Mountain scenery. A perfect mix of calm water and whitewater, this trip offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains, and possible sightings of wildlife. It’s the perfect adventure for anyone interested in escaping the crowds!

Although at a slower pace than our whitewater adventures, our Wilderness Adventure still provides fun for all with some technical rapids to get you ready for your next whitewater adventure. These low-risk rafting trips are perfect for inexperienced rafters, families, or those just looking to get away and relax.

This trip also includes a delicious riverside lunch. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with advanced notice.

River toys, inflatable kayaks or stand up paddle boards, are taken along to add to the memorable experience! The inflatable kayak, or duckie, is an exciting way of going down the river and adds so much independent fun and excitement for all! Safe, suitable for anyone in search of adventure, this is an opportunity to have more challenge and freedom than just spending the day on the raft.  The flexibility of getting in and out of the raft and enjoying these toys makes this adventure suitable for those wanting a little more excitement throughout the day.

Under the guidance of one of our guides, these steady open topped kayaks maneuver with ease, and make even the smallest wave seem much bigger and more exciting! Enjoy a mix of relaxing calm water, exciting whitewater rapids, swimming holes, beautiful scenery, history and wildlife! All necessary gear is provided. Choose between a single or a double duckie , or SUP (dependent on the flows we will also take along some inner tubes).

This “get away from it all” trip takes place a little further from town, with a 30-45 minute drive to and from the river.  You can expect about 5 hours of river time, with a 9:00 departure we should have you back to our office in Glenwood Springs by 4:00.
