Lower Eagle Rafting (May -> Early July) – Vail

Adventure Overview

A great introduction for first-time rafters with a sense of adventure! The Lower Eagle (Class III) offers ten miles of rafting fun. Lively rapids throughout this section keep the adventure exciting. This is a great family rafting trip; no previous experience required.

Unlike its western counterparts, the Eagle River is not dam-controlled. Therefore, this river demonstrates the classic mood swings of a Colorado spring. So please call our office for information about age limitation if younger members of the family will be joining you, because minimum age varies with water levels.

The Eagle River has a limited season (May through Early July), so we strongly recommend advance reservations. Only a short drive from Beaver Creek and Vail.

This trip departs from our boathouse near Vail, CO, about an hour drive from Glenwood Springs.  Once you arrive at the boathouse, it is a quick shuttle to and from the Eagle River.  Although it is a bit longer drive, this section of river is well worth it.
