A morning Glenwood Adventure Company horseback ride: The Glenwood Adventure Company

There’s no better way to spend quality time with Mom than on an adventure in Glenwood Springs!

A visit to the Yampa Spa: After the horseback ride, sooth away the soreness with the range of
treatments offered by the certified staff of massage therapists, estheticians and cosmetologists at the
Yampa Spa, located just off the Colorado River, near the historic and world-famous Glenwood Hot
Springs.

Sweet things at Sweet Adventures: Round out the long day with the dessert fare from Sweet
Adventures, the new variety sweets shop open across the street from and owned by the Glenwood
Adventure Company. Sweets range from ice cream to traditional candy.

A morning bike ride in Glenwood Canyon and a hike to Hanging Lake: Hire mountain bikes from the
Glenwood Adventure Company, take off on the Glenwood Canyon Trail from the shop in downtown
Glenwood Springs and find yourself, after 7 miles, at the trailhead for Hanging Lake, one of the finest
hiking destinations in Western Colorado. The 1.2-mile trail up the canyon wall is tough – bring plenty
of water, maybe some granola bars and your game face – but it is worth it. The end opens up to the
incredibly clear turquoise of Hanging Lake, formed by natural travertine deposition. Rent bikes here.

A shopping date at Treadz Shoes: Treat yourself to the fashion stylings of the locally-owned and –
operated Treadz, a downtown shop of mountain-influenced clothing that specializes in designer
footwear, but also dabbles in running gear.
